Warriors 4 Warriors - Patriots 4 Patriots
11/12/2024

Scott F. Milley, affectionately nicknamed Scooter, was raised in Sudbury and was a 2005 graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School where he became Captain of the LS hockey team. Scott attended the University of New Hampshire where he completed the ROTC program and graduated in 2009. Scott went on to become an Army Ranger. Upon promotion to 1st LT, Scott was deployed to Afghanistan as part of operation Enduring Freedom. On November 30, 2010, less than a month after his arrival in Afghanistan, Scott was killed in battle. Scott was the first person killed in military action from Sudbury since the Vietnam war.

With the objective to honor Scott and maintain his legacy, the Warriors 4 Warriors - Patriots 4 Patriots Benefit Hockey game was founded. Its main purpose is to honor and remember Scott and to raise funds for his foundation that serves to provide help to the military community and beyond. The camaraderie and bond formed among our communities has been a wonderful consequence of this event.

Scott is survived by his parents, Steve and Janice, and his siblings, Steven, Jr. and Ashley. Steven is a Sergeant with the Sudbury Police. Steven and Ashley each have two children who have begun to participate in opening ceremonies on event day.

December 14, 2024, will mark the 13th annual event. We are indescribably grateful to the CC Hockey community for its collaboration in honoring Scott and his family through this event.
We are here to answer any questions that any community member may have so please do not hesitate to reach out accordingly.
